    Interface not registered

I have an unusual problem with Windows Media Player 12 on my Win7 Home Premium x64.

I could play mp3 files normally a few hours ago but now it WMP12 pops up an error message saying that the INTERFACE NOT REGISTERED which is puzzling.

I cannot play any mp3 from my directories but I can play them via WMP12 library which is really odd. I can even play mp3s which are zipped up.

Have you checked your file associations in Control Panel>Folder Options? Something could have changed them.
