Where's the nice design of Windows Media Player 11 ?

Hi folks

With Windows 7 and Windows Media Player 12 I really miss the design of Windows Player 11. It was so beautiful and I loved it.

I checked all skins available, but I did not find a WMP11 Skin.

Anybody has the same problem? Is there no way back? Why did Microsoft do a step back in design????

Same here! I think the WMP12 quality is terrible.

It's horrible, I agree... makes the 'N' versions of Windows7 more attractive!

I wonder if there's any possibility of adding WMPv11 to Windows7 'N'...

I've found it helps to set DVD's to play in WMC instead...

I downgraded today to Windows Media Player 11, but I didn't get my shiny buttons on the player back (strange) so I activated WMP 12 again.

Now I'm trying two things in parallel:
  • using VLC media player with the WMP 11 skin
  • using windowblinds to have a nicer look on all my ugly windows
see the pic attached for the current look of my players (left is VLC, right is WMP12).

What is the difference between the 'N' and 'KN' WM12 versions?
