    Tool To Join AVI Files

    Hi !
I ripped 3 old cds containing the three parts of an old movie. Now I tried to join them together using AVI Demux. But the end result turned in a mismatch in video and audio (audio & Video bitrates are the same in all the three).

I Followed : Open the first part, append the subsequents, and save as movie.avi.

What was the problem? Is there any error in the procedure, or I am using a wrong tool?

Need help. thanks in advance .... :)

    Thanks a lot jfar :) , but...
Does it reduce video quality? Few years ago I tried AOA video converter. It was not good enough ! Though...I am trying it to see what happens.

I use VirtualDub for this: it's free :) and works a treat.

No loss of quality, and pretty quick too (as long as you make sure to choose "Direct Stream Copy" for both audio and video, or it will take an age).

This program is absolutely fantastic in terms of quality. It does no conversion at all and publishing is a matter of seconds. It costs OTC $19.95, but you can use the 2 week trial to see whether you like it. It was the best I could find and now I do all my editing with it.

I use MediaCoder 0.6.1's Join task mode.
Get it here : MediaCoder 0.6.1 | Freeware Download

Note : the most recent version doesn't have this feature anymore
