Windows Media Player 12 problem

In Vista's WMP 11, whether in normal mode or full screen, I could use right/left arrow, Ctrl + right/left arrow and Ctrl+Shift+ right/left arrow to control the video's timeline. I'm not able to do this in WMP 12 that comes with Windows 7. What can I do? If there is no solution, can I somehow install WMP 11 on Windows 7?
