Can't stream audio using Win7 x64 Home Ed and WMP12

    Hi

I use Win7 x64 Home Pro Danish version.

I have serious problems streaming audio. Tried two streaming methods:
1: Running a browser integrated player (http: //www.dr.dk/drnetradio/index.dr?evt=k&name=p3) but find that buffering always remains on 0%
2: Using a direct link for the same radion channel (http: //www.dr.dk/netradio/Metafiler/asx/dr_p3_128.asx) and run it in WMP12.

I tried the above solution several times and sometimes I seem to have success with method nr. 2 (WMP12) but most of the time I can't seem to make it work.

I also tried deleting the files found in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player.

I also tried turning off other software like AVG (firewall) and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, reinstalling Flash Player...

    Any help?

You don't need a third party program for this at all. WMP works perfectly for streaming both movies and music as it is. Did you enable the streaming options in WMP? Did you create a Workgroup and enable file sharing with permissions?

Make sure you have the Homegroup,Workgroup or Public file sharing set up properly and also set up permissions for streaming in WMP like in the pictures.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes - I enabled streaming options in WMP and set up my permissions. Both look like your screenshots.

If you are still having problems then uninstall AVG. It can cause endless problems with sharing. Turning it off isn't enough you need to uninstall it.
