DivX "auto-pausing" on video

When watching videos online my DivX player version (the highest version the website allows and recommends) a clearly downloaded video will start to play at any time spot but will pause automatically after a second or 2. I can see the screen shot for a few frames and hear audio. The vast majority of the other videos on the site work wonderfully. Any guesses on a fix?

If I uncheck "auto volume", tv sound skips and crashes
I noticed that under settings, tv, audio, that the "auto volume" option was checked. If I uncheck it or if it's checked, the "dolby decoder settings" are greyed out and the bullet is on "nightmode". If I leave "auto volume" unchecked, and save the settings, the next time I watch tv, the volume...
