what's this "button" om my pictures folders

What is the blue button with the 2 right facing arrows that has shown up in my Pictures folder when the folder is opened. It blocks some of the pictures making it harder to find what I'm looking for.

Also noticed it showed up on a few items on my desktop that are shortcuts to web sites.

I thought it was related to the homegroup settings - as shared items - but I have disabled that feature.

    Any help would be great.

Thanks for the link to get a screenshot. I tried snipping an image from the Pictures folder. If it did not work, I'll try one more time.

    Hi Lambeth, welcome to SevenForums.:)

That does not appear to be an icon or button from a Windows 7 application.

Have you installed any image viewers or media applications to view images?

    Thanks for the reply.

The only app I've installed is the VLC player. I'll remove the program and if it removes the buttons, I'll post it as an FYI. Strange thing is the button does not appear on the videos, only the pics.

Another FYI and question. I converted super 8 movies to DVD about 6 years ago with a JVC unit. The JVC unit died a few monthe ago. The DVD's do not play on most DVD players. Nor do they play in the DVD unit in my new Asus computer. That is why I downlaoded the VCL player. They do not play in it either???

    Thanks again.

If it doesn't play in players, your computer's drive, or VLC, then its not a DVD. I am talking about the video format, not the physical media it resides on. You need to figure out what kind of video file it is, then convert to something you can play.
