Adobe Flash issue with Windows 7?

I've looked for possible fixes and causes for the choppy playback, and have found dozens of links with people saying similar things.

I recently bought the Acer Aspire 5532 for schoolwork and internet use, because it was cheaper than most Netbooks with better specs. It came with Windows 7 and is great in almost all respects, except for Flash videos online.

When I download the videos (Gametrailers.com for instance) and run them with Windows Media it runs perfect. However streaming them from a site is so painfully slow, and it actually gets worse if I make it full screen.

I have XP on my older, dying laptop and I never had this issue. People have mentioned memory leaks, or problems with Windows 7 and Flash among a host of other things.

Does anyone know of possible fixes for this? I just want to be able to stream the videos without them stopping and jumping around constantly.

No it's not the internet connection, I have another computer with XP and haven't ever had this problem.

Flash + Windows 7 seems to hog ALL the CPU on this computer, and the processor is slower at 1.6ghz but I've run flash videos on worse computers.
