    Troubles with Photoshop

Recently, I installed a copy of Photoshop Elements 3.0, which came free with my old Wacom tablet, on my new Windows 7 computer. It works, sort of. There's a weird, glitchy grid.

It's hard to describe, so here's a picture. Click! Has anyone seen something like this before?

    Thanks!

Hmmm.... you might wanna try to reinstall PSE

Or try to run it under Vista or XP compatibility

Installing it once was hard enough; I had to install it on a separate computer, drag the files over to Windows 7 and then install it so I could enter the serial number. (Installing it normally just had it quit halfway through...)

I've tried running it in different compatibility modes, no change.

It wouldn't actually install on Windows 7. So I installed it on a separate computer, put the files on a USB drive and transferred them. It wouldn't open because the serial number hadn't been entered on the Windows 7 computer. So I installed the program from there, got fare enough to enter the serial number and now it opens.

According to the Windows 7 compatibility site only Elements 7 (with paid upgrade) and Elements 8 are compatible with Windows 7.

There may be a workaround, but I have a feeling it won't be easy.

Hmm. Well, I'm certainly not buying another version of Photoshop. *sigh*
