How Can I Access Photos Under Other User?

My wife and I are setup as separate users. I moved all the photos from our old computer onto this new one with Windows 7. The photos are all stored under her user name, and we use Picasa to manage them. I have not found a way to access them under my user name. So, if I want to email someone a photo, I need to go under her name, email it to myself, then forward the email. There must be an easier way. How can I access the photos directly?

Why don't you put the pics in the Public library?

That would the best/easiest solution, since your both on the same computer.

I agree with the above two users. That is what the Public folders were created for, for situations such as yours.

I am new to Windows 7. Until your replies, I had not heard of Public Libraries. How do I move the photos there at this point? Then, how do I access Public Libraries? Can I make a desktop shortcut to access the photos once they are in this new library?

    Drag the pics to C:\Users\Public\Pictures.

That should be all that needs to be done. To access the pics, go to Libraries\Pictures.

I did drag the Pictures folder as you suggested, but all it did is create a Shortcut, which does not open anything. It says Picture Shortcut, and has one of those arrows in the lower left, which I believe means it is an empty folder. It does not link me to the photos. What step(s) am I missing?

Could you please post a screenshot, and explain exactly what you did?

Don't know how to do multiple screen shots, but here is what I did:
Opened my wife's user name, and went to Libraries, and clicked on Pictures Library. (I opened that folder to verify it contained all the photos.) Down the left side of the window, I navigated to C:\users\public\public pictures. I then dragged the Pictures Library folder in the big part of the window onto the Public Pictures folder. It then created a Pictures Shortcut folder that looks like a keyboard and monitor, and there is one of those curved arrows in the lower left of the picture, above the words.
