    Last.fm Scrobbler won't recognize WMP 12

I installed the Last.fm Scrobbler from Last.fm, it searched for my currently installed media players and found WMP and installed the plug-in for it. It's supposed to grab the info of the song I'm playing and post it to my profile, doesn't seem to be working with this version of WMP I guess. I have found a way around it using another media player, if you install WinAmp on Win 7 and then install the WinAmp plug-in on Last.fm Scrobbler it will scrobble your tracks.

Has anyone gotten it to work for WMP? I'm using Win 7 Beta 1 Build 7022 at the moment, but it was also doing this in Build 7000.

hmm....I used Last.fm on my laptop...whit Windows 7 beta...and it works fine...I have WMP, iTunes and Real Player installed...and it recognise all 3 when I installed it. If I where you I'd try to install a other media player and see if it works. It really dosn't matter wich you use as long as it works...

...and I use last.fm EVERY day...need that stuff!

I looked at the link and didn't find the answer. Anyway, It happened to me previously and this is how I have "fixed" it.

    1. In WMP12, switch to Library view.
    2. Right click anywhere on the "top" (menu) area or on the controls area and select Tools --> Plug-ins --> Last.fm plugin.
    3. Your last.fm plugin should now launch (on your system tray/notification area).

i'll definitely give this a try, thanks guys. And i kept the link because the mod pretty much says that Win 7 isn't supported. The link isn't a fix, just someone from Last.fm saying it won't work.

No problem...glad to be of help...though, there are some "issues" about last.fm scrobbling because of this article from techcrunch...which last.fm denied.
