Well that's great! I take it you've had the same problem and solved it the way you describe. I'll check into it tonight. Thanks a lot.

Problem solved!

Just wanted to drop a line saying "thank you all" for helping me solve this problem. Yes, the problem is now solved, and as you said the cause of the problem was the ICC profile that my monitor was using (must have come with the Windows installation - I haven't done any calibration myself).

As you can see from the attached images, the picture now looks the same in both paint and windows default picture viewer, as well as Lightroom itself. The picture however is now displayed somewhat brighter, but that's not an issue as it is now displayed consistently.

File Compression
In looking for a means to backup my movies volume (~750GB), prior to sending that hard drive in for RMA, I decided to see if I could place them on a smaller drive (500GB), first by using True Image's Cloning feature (I was hoping that it would be able to compress the files enough), which failed. ...

Poorer Performance on 32-bit W7 than my XP
Hello all, I've been trying to diagnose my system now for 2 days running and thought I'd post instead of scouring the web for conditions like mine. First of all, you need to know my specs. I have a pretty old computer that can run TF2 to an acceptable level (around 30 FPS) in XP, as well as...
