Importing WMP9 albums into WMP12

On my old PC, I have WMP9 and a lot of tracks in .wma format ("Copied from CD") are in a folder on an external disk.

Also in the album folders are the various AlbumArt .jpg files, Folder.jpg files and destop.ini files.

-- what is the best way to import these albums into WMP12?
-- I really do not want to copy them all from CD again.
-- can I just drag and drop the album folders from the external disk into a folder that WMP12 is monitoring?
-- or is there a better way?

Also, can I copy across the .wmdb database files from WMP9 (CurrentDatabase_59R.wmdb and wmpfolders.wmdb) and use them in WMP12? I have edited many track names, adding foreign accents etc.

WMP 12 is moving/combining albums
My WMP 12 library is acting up. It is taking albums by different artists (sometimes the whole album, sometimes just a single song) and combining them together into one big album called "Unknown Album" by "Unknown Artist". Any album/song it takes no longer exists anywhere else in the library... a...

Same album art for different albums
I have WMP automatically adding Music from My Music on my laptop and I have some songs that are just singles, not part of an album and they don't have album art. Never applied any and in Windows Explorer, it doesn't show an album art. In WMP, it shows one and it's annoying because it's an album art...
