    Frame of video thumbnail?

    Hi,
I find it really annoying that windows only captures the first 2 seconds of a video to display as a thumbnail, i mean every video always starts with either black or some intro which means the thumbnail is utterly useless. Is there any hack to display a different frame? (I did something on Vista before to resolve this but i just cant remember for the life of me what it was).

    Thanks.

    Hi Brink,
What i was actually looking for was a way to change the frame thumbnail of the video to display maybe like mid-section of the video (so i can figure out what the video is just by looking at the thumbnail). What you posted was only how to change the border of the video. Or am i missing something...

Nope, you didn't miss anything. I'm not sure of what would change what is previewed in the thumbail though. Hopefully someone may know of a 3rd party program that may allow what you are wanting.

No solution to such a problem as of yet.

Go here Change Frame Used For Video Thumbnail Generation - Windows 7 Taskforce and promote the issue.
