    Divx Vids dissapearing.

When I have buffered a movie file and choose to right click and save it to my videos all is fine until I actually open up my videos...the file is nowhere to be seen?...I then right click it again and choose to save it to my videos but it says that the file is already there?...I can actually see it in the little window that opens when you choose where you want to save the file but it dissapears when I go to my videos...anyone know what is going on?

    Welcome to SF!

Try rebooting, and see if the file appears again in Videos.

See if the files is dislayed in the command prompt. Type cmd into the start menu and press enter.

Assuming you haven't changed the default location for the command prompt, enter dir videos. See if your file is listed.

If you know the file name try do a system search for it. Perhaps it has saved to a different folder!
Post the link to where you are downloading from and I will try to replicate the problem.

Tried a system search and nothing lol. I am saving to "my videos" for definate. It's real weird cause when I try to save anything else and it opens up the little window where I choose where to save my file they then show up for some reason. I am using ninjavideo.net for the divx files and it happens with every divx file I save.

I have looked at ninjavideo.net and it appears that you need to register and install strange software to get to the point where you can download video and I didn't fancy doing that. May I ask an impertinent question. Do you have to pay for these downloads as I assume they are copyrighted?

This may be the answer. I know absolutely nothing about Podcasts I'm afraid. I did notice that there is a Forum for users of ninjavideo.net so it might serve you to take a look there. Then again someone with experience in Podcasts on this Forum may be able to help, sorry I can't help further but please come back if you look at the ninjavideo.net Forum and let us know how you get on!
