    PNG Scan Utility Free?

For future reference, does anyone know of a scanning utility that would allow me to scan pictures into PNG. I need better software than the windows fax & scan in windows 7. it doesnt even allow muti-scan or auto-crop.

Try Google to find free photo editing software and then check each one to see if it will scan to PNG. If not most will scan to BMP and then you can batch save them to PNG format. If you can't find a free one try Adobe Elements 6. This might do it.

Irfanview Should give you all the control you need - and I'm sure other free image programs will do the same as long as you have the scanner driver installed

IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide
