Volume 0%, video lags

I have not tested with games, but apparently when I turn the volume to zero internally on media players the video suffers from horrible lag.

I'm not using the volume control on Windows.

So far, JTV player streaming live videos, The KMPlayer, and even Youtube does it.
I'm assuming that this is sound card driver problem but still not sure if that's it.

I tried downloading drivers for my sound card but I couldn't get a driver that works.

Here's what the device manager says on the sound card:
Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 11)
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio
NVIDIA High Definition Audio

Apparently, there are four of them.

It would help if you updated your hardware specifications.

What type of CPU, Motherboard, video card, memory, cached memory and what programs you may have in the background can effect it.

Has this just recently started?

I'd like to see how much memory you are using as well as the background programs.
Hope to hear back from you soon.
