Do you use PC as the media player? Or an array of devices (BD/DVD player + Network media player + some other things)?

In the basement, the PC is connected via optical cable to the receiver for music playback or perhaps a video. I've also got a standard setup of 2.1 computer speakers attached as I don't have to use the receiver. In the basement, just got a standard DVD player. Strangely I've never really been inclined to use the computer as a media playback device. The whole concept of a HTPC just missed me somehow.

Upstairs, I've got a standalone Panasonic Blu Ray player, an Xbox360 (netflix streaming) and a Wii....along with my HD DVR and external eSATA drive connected to the DVR.

And then for those nights when I just want to lie in bed and watch TV, I have a 32" Vizio LCD in there with a stand-alone bluray player. (no surround sound though).
