How do I delete open pictures all at once in Photoshop

When I open new picture files in Photoshop Elements 5 one at a time the windows get stacked up and when it is time to delete them I have to delete one at a time after it asks me if I want to save them. I have had this problem for years but maybe I am missing something. It doesn't matter if I use "close", "close all", or "exit", that sign keeps popping up saying; Do you want to save? I could probably close the 50 or whatever amount of files I have open by hitting the shut down button but I don't want to do that. The window closing x box at the top right won't do it either, that save sign just keeps popping up forcing me to click on no for every file..

Hmm maybe hit ctrl+no or shift+no, I think this will delete all in one go, not sure though but I have heard something like this working for dialog boxes.

I thought it was like you hold down the shift key when you go File>close and Photoshop will close all the open documents.

Close open windows

That would be too easy. I have been struggling with this for 20 years with my photo business.

Alt + ctrl + W

Then box comes up as before but this time has tick box "Apply to all"

This is on my demo of CS5 though.

I found it!

Thanks guys, I figured it out; Edit>preferences>image previews>never save. Control>alt>w will now work also (besides close all). I guess it pays to look around a little bit. I have been struggling with this for 20 years!
