DVD Backup - ISO saved to root folder... can't access
Hello, I was trying to backup one of my DVDs to save on my hard drive as an ISO file rather than burn it to a DVD. I used DVD Shrink to create the ISO, and it was saved as C:\DVD_Video.ISO in the C drive root folder. It is definitely there, I even rewrote it, but I am unable to see it when I look at the C drive. I have "show hidden files" checked... so I'm not sure why it is not showing up. My burning program doesn't see it either. Daemon Tools can see it, but cannot mount it on the virtual drive.
At this point, I would just like to safely delete it. I rewrote the ISO file to a folder on my external hard drive, which I can access just fine.
Is the problem because it was saved directly to the root folder? How can I safely delete it?
I am a bit paranoid, as I had all my files deleted recently when I was trying to access a hidden file, and had to recover back to the factory installation.
I have never had issues like this in all the years I used XP. What is up with Windows 7 not showing certain files and folders. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any advice. :)
