Video wont stay in library

    Video wont stay in library


    Hello,
    When I use WMP my cds will stay in the audio section but when I try to keep videos files in WMP they dissapear every time I close WMP. What gives?

    Are you "ripping" the CD to the hard drive? This is what you need to do...that will put copies of the songs on the HD and you can access them any time.

    If they are not viewable with WMP it's probably a setting inside WMP. Maybe making WMP "look" in the folder you have the music ripped to. Look around a little. If I had the time I would help more....i hope this helps a little.

    If the files are mp4, look in other media, you'll need to reencode them if you want to see them in video library. Also, try this: right click "videos" in wmp, manage video library, add your video folder. Video folder will remain in its original location, but the content will be shown in the library. Can't think of anything else right now, to tired, going to sleep. Will finish as whs above, hope this helps.

    You would be far better served by using the User folders> My video's folder for moving your video's around using drag and drop. Libraries aren't made for drag and drop which is probably the reason you are having these problems. Libraries are only picture icons of the files stores in your User folders> My video's, My Documents etc. You need to use the Library menu's "copy to" functions for moving files within Libraries.
