Video Playback issues with hardware acceleration

I am having an issue trying to playback videos. Anytime hardware acceleration is used the screen is either green or black, depending which app I use for playback. I am using the latest ATI drivers 10.6 and the latest drivers for all other hardware. I need the acceleration because I am on an Intel Atom. I am unable to access the hardware acceleration settings from the display properties. I have performed a clean install of windows 7 pro 3 times now. I am not sure what to do. Please help!

    Thanks.

    System: Asus Eee EB1006
    CPU: Intel Atom N270
    RAM: 2GB
    HDD: 160GB
    OS: Win 7 Pro
    GPU: Mobility HD4530

Re-installing win 7 obviously isnt going to fix it. We need your system specs to help. Please fill them in (lower right corner of your posts)

Well I am trying to use YouTube, I also use media browser to mount DVD .ISO files and various .avi and .mkv files. The .avi will play as they don't use hardware acceleration. Anything that uses the acceleration will play but the screen is green in Arcsoft TMT3. In Media Center the screen is black. I can hear the audio just fine, so I know the files are fine.

That system should make use of the HW acceleration and provide a smooth HD video playback (most notably those encoded with H.264 standard).
What video player are you using? Have you tried other Video Players?

I also have an ATI video card and the MPC-HC makes use of DXVA (DirectX Video Acceleration) to produce a smooth playback.

I have tried windows Media Player, Media Center, Arcsoft TMT3, VLC. I mainly would like to use Media Center because I am using a remote. The hardware acceleration is working but I dont see the video, I only get audio. I even went to YouTube and get the same problem. I have 3 other machine all using ATI GPUs and have no issues.

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard? If you have not, that could very well be the issue.
