print pictures window Hi, this window Print a picture
is making printing batches of pictures rather difficult.
You see, I use PDFCreator to make pdfs of a set of images. The images are in the right order in the folder, but when I select all of the pictures and print them, the order gets scrambled, and this window doesn't let me fix that order.
It doesn't seem to matter which order I select them in, it never prints the first picture in the folder first.
So the only way I can print these pictures is to print them individually in IrfanView, which is a pain.
Is there any way I can turn this print pictures window off? Where is it in the registry? Is it as simple as changing a hidden file association? | My System Specs |

Hi jwaffe,
I'm unsure how to disable this dialog screen. However I use CutePDF Writer and I don't have this problem providing that the file names are in order. What order are you trying to print in?
Could you give me the names and file types of three pictures (i'll call my pictures the same names) and I'll attempt to recreate the issue and find a solution for you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Hack job OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz Motherboard GigaByte EP45-UD3 Memory 8 GB Kingston Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Sound Card Soundblaster Audigy Monitor(s) Displays AOC x2 22" Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical 2000 PSU Thermaltake QFan 750W Case CM Scout Gaming Cooling Coolermaster V10 Hard Drives 2 x Samsung 500GB (RAID)

I'm unable to recreate the issue, it works for me with cutepdf writer. Give it a go, it's free. If it still fails, then tomorrow I'll download your PDF writer and get stuck into this for you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Hack job OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz Motherboard GigaByte EP45-UD3 Memory 8 GB Kingston Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Sound Card Soundblaster Audigy Monitor(s) Displays AOC x2 22" Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical 2000 PSU Thermaltake QFan 750W Case CM Scout Gaming Cooling Coolermaster V10 Hard Drives 2 x Samsung 500GB (RAID)

nope... it didn't seem to work.
It printed it in the order 2, 3,...22,1, and the "print pictures" window came up before CutePDF even started.
weird, I wonder why windows prints in that order... | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit |

That's weird jwaffe, if the order was 1, 11, 2, 22 etc I'd sort of get it. But yours seems random.
Here's my test, I have 8 pictures named 01,1,2,3,4,22,23,44 ordered in that order in the window. When I highlight them all in "Large Icons" view, right click and select print, they print in that order. Same for details view and all other views.
If I change it to Order by size which puts them in 4,22,44,1,23,3,01,2 they print in size order. So for me it works.
Would you mind using the Windows 7 Problem Step Recorder (PSR) and recreate your scenario again, then paste the results.
To open the PSR, just type PSR.exe into RUN or SEARCH and press enter. When it's open press Start record, recreate your issue and stop record when you are finished. Paste the results and I'll take a look. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Hack job OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz Motherboard GigaByte EP45-UD3 Memory 8 GB Kingston Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9600GT Sound Card Soundblaster Audigy Monitor(s) Displays AOC x2 22" Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical 2000 PSU Thermaltake QFan 750W Case CM Scout Gaming Cooling Coolermaster V10 Hard Drives 2 x Samsung 500GB (RAID)

Have you tried FastStone Image Viewer? Not sure if it prints a range of images, but it can do quite a bit, and convert to pdf also. | My System Specs | | |

I hope this doesn't come off wrong, but why do you need to:
1) Make PDF's of them before printing
2) Print them in an exact order if they are all going to print anyway
I'm trying to figure out the reasoning behind this so I can possibly provide some help. | My System Specs | | OS XP / Win7 x64 Pro CPU Intel Quad-Core Q9450 @ 3.2GHz Motherboard Asus P5-E Memory 2x2GB GSkill DDR2 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS (EVGA) Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2408WFP Screen Resolution 1920x1200 |

The same thing happens to me where it throws the first 1 or 2 images to the end of the printing order when I print to CutePDF. Very strange.... If I print to AdobePDF printer it prints in numerical order. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 |
