Windows Media Player cannot access the file

My question is I am dual booting Windows Xp and the windows 7 RC I have a file on XP partition that has a bunch of video files...earlier when i was on my Windows 7 i tried to gain access from that partition but got several pops ups about ownership...somehow i was finally able to get into the folder but i got a "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct." message......tralizing i probably did something wrong i restarted my computer went into my windows xp partition and tried to open the file....it said that the "file is inaccessible. Access is denied" i know it has something to do with the ownership but i have no idea what....can anybody address this problem for me?

Go into Control Panel, then "Sound" - you will probably get a screen popping up saying that enhancements are interfering, or can't be loaded - something like that!

Click on the yes button to remove the enhancements, and your videos should now work - mine did
