    AVG Sucks
2.) It might be scanning the object too hard(has problems scanning it) therefore the delay...
    3.) change your anti-virus
    4.) do it now
    5.) good luck

I've used AVG and Irfanview in XP and Vista for years and never had a speed problem.
AVG serves my protection needs quite well .. because if I even think I may have a problem ..
I just tell Acronics to rewrite my system partition with a fresh install.

BTW ... W7 and Acronis v11 don't like each other either.

When I tried to use IrfanView on RC 7100 64 bit, it changed access permission on lots of my media folders and files. Was kinda a mess, so I uninstalled and installed Imagewalker for the time being.

Go to your Control panel and set your 'Defaults'. Irfanview can be controlled

Something's up with Irfanview. It's not just AVG that doesn't like it. I have a malware scanner that picks it up as malware anytime it's on my machine.
