    Mp3 Properites Suddenly Missing

In the past I have never had this problem but today when I went to enter mp3 info in 'properties' it is blocked. I cannot enter any date. Also, when I go back to view previous mp3's there is no data. The files play but no info. I checked the security and everything is set at 'Full Control'. I have been searching the net for hours but have not found a solution that works. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Let's see if we can get this, I found this on another forum:

"Can you use the advanced tag editor in Windows Media Player to add details?

Go into your library. Select 'Songs' from the sidebar. Then, right click on a song and select 'Advanced tag editor'. There, you can use the different tabs to add song and artist info. "

If that doesn't let you change the tag then try this:

    Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)

    Geeve

Edit: I also read somewhere iTunes can cause some problems with MP3 tags, I will see if I can find it again (if you have iTunes that is)
