I haven't seen this issue anywhere else. I'm hoping it's not hardware, but it won't do this in XP. I also had this problem when I tired the beta a few months back but chalked it up to bad driver implementation. Now I'm not so sure.
I installed the 7RC over a fresh formatted partition this morning. Went great. Detected everything and I installed the 184.108.40.20685 drivers from nvidia (whql certified). Whenever I try to play a game - any game, even minesweeper - I get a corrupted screen. I believe the program is continuing in the background. It also happens when I launch Windows Picture Viewer, try to change the resolution, or any such thing related to video.
I tired selecting a high vis theme instead of aero, and also rolled back the driver to whatever was on the Win 7 disk.
I'd say it was the card itself (7900GT) except it runs great in XP. I do think there is some conflict though. I'm suspicious of the 59 hz refresh rate I'm stuck at.
Budget LCD/nForce 4 mobo. 2GB RAM.
Has anyone else seen this?
