Odd external display issue with streaming flash video

Hi everyone, this problem is vexing to say the least. Whenever I play a streaming flash video through my browser (FF) on my laptop's display, everything plays fine at full screen whether it's Hulu 360p, youtube 720p, etc., but when it's connected to my LCD TV via VGA, the video becomes choppy. 720p video from my hard drive play fine both on the internal and external displays. It only seems to be flash and only when connected to the TV that is a problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    *Toshiba Satellite L455-S5009
    *Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
    *Intel Pentium® Processor T4400
    *4GB DDR3 memory
*Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (GMA 4500M)
    *1366x768
    *320GB HDD (5400rpm)

    EDIT:
The laptop's display is set to 1366x768 (60) and the native resolution of the monitor is 1366x768 (60), but when they are connected, the maximum display setting allowed is 1360x768 (60). I don't know if that is relevant at all.

It's the onboard Intel. Would it be a graphics card issue if it plays correctly on the laptop's display?
