Using Connectify with *new* xbox360 slim/ AVG

Wow, who should i blame and how maybe can I fix this:

I just bought a new Dell with windows 7. I download connectify since i only have 1 ethernet cord and the router is far away. I use connectify with the 360 and worked perfectly for weeks. Now, just a few days ago i downloaded and installed a free trial version of AVG after the mcafee expired. Ever since then my xbox reads that it CANNOT get internet access EVEN THO connectify catches the xbox signal and shows up in the connected clients window. So with that im assuming its not the xbox and AVG has done something to my computer. Is there any way to fix this, I did a system restore and for some strange reason it didnt work the first time, second time asked me to restore to another date (didnt say) and the free avg (which i downloaded later in the same day) is still on here.. did the system not restore? or would they not delete avg? any way i can get the xbox to retrieve internet.. this is annoying

Hi romperroomid12

You say McAfee was installed & had expired.
Did you use their recommended removal / uninstall tool?

At what stage did you install AVG free?
[before or after McAfee was removed.]
