Default Google search bar not functioning FF3

Anybody else having trouble with the Google search bar in FF3?

It only works when there is no text in the field. Any text and it does not work by either clicking the search magnifying glass or pressing enter. Only the beta is having this issue

And yes I know it's just a beta

Problem 2: Bookmarks aren't working either ???

Welcome you can also get rid of the search bar too by right clicking above or just below or even on the back and forward buttons and going to custumize and dragging the search bar into the window that opens.

Thanks mate, I had all the customization sorted, it's just that I never even thought to try the address bar for searching. Old browsing habits die hard I guess

Not at all mate It never hurts to reinforce what you know and more often than not, you will learn another way to do things

Help and advice is better than none at all and is always appreciated

I had it running on Vista and went back to the stable version because of add on incompatibility's. I'll install it again later and see how it goes.

PS I fixed the bookmark problem by deleting the places.sqlite file. It had become corrupt
