Another Tversity problem.. I think its DNS but cant be sure...

    Hiya guys,

I have been tearing my hair out (well, whats left) trying to resolve a piddly little streaming problem.

    Here is my setup:

Win7 Home Premium (regged, legal, purchased)
Networked via Belkin 200MBps homeplug and using OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220) connected to:

    Netgear WNR 2000 Wireless Router
    Networked via Belkin 200MBps homeplug
Ports open on router: 41952 (tversity) and 28306 (bt)

    Streaming to:

PS3 Slim, wired connection tried with both automatic settings, and now with OpenDNS settings manually input.

PS Store and internet browser work perfectly, and if I use the /flashlib command via safari, I can connect to the TVersity via my iPhone.

    Problems:

The PS3 simply refuses to display the TVersity OR Windows Media Sharing media servers.

I am using default settings on Windows Firewall, with TVersity media server as an automatic rule, but i also manually made a rule opening the port.

When I restart the media server service, still nothing. If I use the internet option (http://xxx.xxx.x.x:41952/flashlib) it states a DNS error - 80710101.

I have looked at pretty much every guide I can find, and was hoping that someone could help me to resolve this problem?

    Thank-you...

    Duke.

Like in your other post you seem to be having problems with "TVersity" not with windows.

I wonder if there isnt an alternative that would work better.
