delete old networks

    delete old networks


    i was trying to set up wireless computer to computer then use to get on internet took me a little to figure out created a few extra networks some ad-hoc others not but cant delete them i go to merge or delete networks there not there

    Need to go into control panel/network and sharing and remove or change settings there.

    This doesn't seem to be the same in Windows 7, am I missing something?

    WindowsStar,

    Almost the same, but you have to click on the Network icon instead of the Customize link in Vista.

    Trasher,

    Which ones were you wanting to delete?

    In the bottom screenshot, you can select the ones that are listed as "Not in use" to then be able to delete.

    The other wireless networks that are not listed in the bottom screenshot are just available wireless networks in your area that you may be able to connect to. You will not be able to delete them since they are not your network. That's all.
