    broadcom WiFi Aspire 5000

Ok since beta and rc wifi has been very slow and occasionally will get page can not be displayed. First off i had to just click update driver and it installs a 2006 driver which makes the wifi light solid rather than blinking and you get much better performance. But not awsome. With xp i was able to get 17mbs download speed running at Speakeasy.net i sometimes can push 11mbs now and it requires me to connect to my high end router in my basement with only 2 bars of signal.. if i connect to the the fios action tech in my bedroom right in front of me i lose speed . tried to install other versions of the broadcom but windows wont let it install. right now i am running ver/4.102.15.61 tried to install/4.170.77.3 but windows says no such device installed. anybody else having this issue and any resolutions

well i had this funny feeling the slowness may have been that good ole actiontec router so i swapped out my other dlink in the hall way with just a switch instead and then moved my di 624 into my bedrooom and now im getting 17 mb down again
