Windows 7 login freezes because of saved vpn shares ?
Hello,
Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
Using Cisco VPN client to connect to my work network. Basically I use few shares which reside on that private network - I just preserved these shares using "net use" command. Of course these shares are functional only when Cisco VPN client program is running (it needs password to enter interactively in order to run). Anyway when login is being made my work network is nonexistent, and shares won't work of course.
Windows 7 freezes login screen for about 40 seconds because of these shares(checked that). Been running exactly the same setup on Windows XP Pro for years with no problems. It's really annoying to wait, and I don't want to remove these shares because I use them frequently.
Could someone please suggest solution for this ? (decrease timeout?)
thanks in advance
Vilius
