Broadband password

Is there a way to put a password on broadband internet like how dial-up was?

I'd like to have some sort of setup on a work computer so certain employees can access the internet on a windows xp machine.

I'm aware that you can setup internet access policies on the router which i have done already, but i'd like something simpler rather than logging into the router to change the setting when the internet is needed.

Not that I know of..

If the connection is wireless have them use the wireless password when connecting to the Internet...

There are programs out there, that will block the internet but most are for a price and I never used them personally.

Sorry,
