Hey guys,
I just found your forums and thought you could give me a little help with my problem. A couple of months ago, I started to have issues while browsing the internet or gaming. Sometimes the pages just wouldn't load for a couple of minutes and then everything would be fine. After another couple of minutes it would do the same thing or start being very slow. I was not the only person having these problems (homegroup) so we decided to change the router (old linksys--->New D-Link).
It solved the problem for them but not completely for me. I was still losing my connection often. So I decided to check my
drivers. Everything was up to date but I remembered having problems installing them during the initial setup of the computer (Motherboard had drivers for Xp and Vista only).
2 weeks ago I decided to buy a new wired network card thinking that maybe it would solve the problem. It did help because I have now rarely have drop out. It is still slow sometimes and Youtube videos are not loading properly(stop loading after a certain time) but most of the time it works fine when browsing. I recently bought StarCraft 2 (amazing game btw) but then realised the slowdown and drop out were still there when gaming online.
Last weekend I went to my friends house with my computer for a LAN and everything was fine all night long. Youtube videos loading smoothly, browsing was fast and I didn't have any drop out when gaming. When I came back to my house and connected my computer, I had the same issues as before. I then thought it was the cable but it didn't solve anything. I tried my brothers wire and I still have my problem. Everyone in the house is fine except me.
That's about it. Do you guys have an idea of what's the problem?
Sorry for the long text, I wanted to give as much info as possible
