    Network status stuck on "Identifying..."

Hi, I recently built a computer myself and decided to connect it to our internet, it connects to the wireless router but it keeps saying identifying the network and has a X between the network and internet. I tryed both wireless and wired.

Do I have to change any setting of the PC or router? (im using a D-link DIR-615 wireless router)

    Thanks.

Try going to the Network and Sharing Center and then Manage Wireless Networks. Where you should be able to use the wireless network set up wizard.

For that particular router you will definately want to update the firmware for Windows 7.
The DD-WRT firmware might work the best with that router.
