Connected to router but cannot connect to internet

    Connected to router but cannot connect to internet


    I just got a dell laptop, inspiron with windows 7, that i can use at home on my wireless network with no problem. When I got to other places, like my fathers house, I can connect to the router but do not get internect connectivity. Any ideas, thanks in advance.

    If the method in the link below doesn't work than most likely the router needs a firmware update in order to work correctly with Windows 7.
