    IMO Norton is famous for causing problems like this and uninstalling it may or may not fix the problems that Norton can create. It's best to start with a clean install of Windows 7 and do not install any type of A/V software until after you have your internet connection and network working.

    Understood, let me try that out today and install a clean copy again. stupid norton =( can i install it after everything is settled? or it will create the same problem

    You can try but the same problem may or not appear again depending on how you configure Norton, the Norton forum might be helpful for that. I would consider using MSE "microsoft security essentials" instead.

    i will just install windows 7 and leave out norton. Then install all the drivers (wireless) and see hwo that goes. I just wanna get online with the computer. My laptop is completely shattered (but still works) hahha do you guys have any other recommandations? any way i can check where the problem is located?
