Hi armen, when you say you lost everything do you mean you lost your desktop icons,settings? i think it is logging you on with a temporary profile. go to C:\users\ and check if there is a profile called "TEMP", if there is, then your roaming profile needs reconfiguring. note in c:\users you should be able to see your profile's name there with a lock, back those up on a flash disk or something.

anyway, check c:\users and see if there is a profile called "TEMP". if it's there, it means system is logging you on with a temporary profile. to fix that, you would need to either, fix permissions of the account in order to access the profile, or delete the profile from the server, then restart your pc to create a new profile.
if you want to save any files on that profile, open c:\users\yourProfileName and backup on a flash disk

Thanks for the reply, I gave the PC static IP, but nothing change, I can brows the internet and I can even see the server, but I cant brows a specific shared folder , although the user has full permission on the folder.... after long tries , now I cant even log in with Administrator on the domain user account or new user ....strange, but it happening only with win 7 new PC's, because it happens with another one before and I just logged in with another user account and its works...., but this PC cant log in with another user account, but with the old one, I can browse the internet and print on network printer...
Is there any fix for win 2003 server for sharing folders for win 7 pro.?

I'm having the same problem...we have a mix of xp sp3 (32bit) machines and recent additions of windows 7 prof sp1 (64bit) machines. The windows 7 machines randomly (but frequently) drop off the network, lose mapped network drives, drop off of the exchange server for their email. I'm fairly new to server administration plus our setup was all in place when I took over. Any help w/b greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue and I've never see any answers to these problems here (depressing) I feel the problem is with the Domain controller of the active directory that it probably uses IPv4 and windows 7 can use IPv4 or IPv6 but for Domain queries it probably defaults to IPv6 I wish someone here can offer a solution for this it seems very strange to me that no solution has been found for this problem in the years since Windows 7 has been out.

This type of problem usually requires that you change the lanman server parameters in order to get Windows 7 or 8 working with older servers. Do these adjustments on the Windows 7 or 8 machines that needs to connect to the server.
Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local Security Policy
Local Policies - Security Options
Network security: LAN Manager authentication level
Set to Send LM & NTLM responses only
Set the Minimum session security for NTLM SSP
Disable Require 128-bit encryption
Reboot all machines after making the adjustment.

I definitely believe we have gotten much closer towards solving this issue changed settings on win7 machine and server but still getting an error message when I try to join the domain. {An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain TS1 could not be contacted ensure that the domain name is typed correctly.
