Shares stop working for XP & Sonos devices?

Hello

I have a 64bit window 7 home premium pc running all my shares. I have 5 users 4 pc and 3 laptops and 3 Sonos boxes on the network. The issue I am having is that about once a day I loose access to the shares from the xp and sonos devices. My windows 7 devices remain working. The issue is fixed by rebooting the main pc with the shares on. All works fine for a while and then the same.

I have been reading that windows 7 has a maximum number of connection of 20, could this be the issue? I have multiple users accessing there shares from multiple computers, would this push it up to 20 and then stop working?

I have recently completed a software rebuild on the pc which holds the shares and the issue is still happening if anyone has any ideas They would be most welcome as I am out of them.

Many thanks
Mike
