homegroup not connecting machines
Hi all, Windows 7 newbie here
2 machines 64 pro and 64 home premium
pro machine running Norton security suite
home premium machine running Microsoft Defender
can't see home machine in home group when I access Start->User->Homegroups="No other Homegroup computers available"
Home premium machine can see the pro machine.
leaving home group on both machines and then rejoining via same pword
starting new home groups from one and linking the other and then vice versa
Changing the default workgroup from "workgroup" to :"Home" on both machines
Went to advanced settings and made everything identical
Tried password on, passord off
turning firewalls on and off
Note: When looking at network on home premium it says "network 4", on pro machine it says "network"
Makes me want to go Apple after 20 years in Microsoft
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
