    It was a firewall problem in the end lol
    I just had to allow my firewall to allow my network to be discoverd...thats why it wasnt showing up! Doh! I just use the media sharign function in WMP12 now so no need for extra software

    I honestly thought this was a 'How do I install Windows 7 on my PS3?' thread.

    Glad you figured it out though. Firewalls always can be so picky!

    i am sure someone will try that soon enough! I have seen a youtube video of XP runing under yellow dog on the PS3! Crazy and pointless I know! LOL

    Yes burtie, I found this to be my issue as well. While TVersity was set to be allowed in the firewall, it was set ONLY for Public and NOT "Home/Work(Private)...seemed kind of backwards to me.

    After allowing this access in both zones, I've been able to connect via xbox and ps3.
