How to determine WPA2 adapter capability

I have an old Hawking PC Card network adapter (HWC 4G) lying around which I suspect is not capable of WPA2 security. Is there a way to find out for sure?

Assuming the HWC 4G is not capable of WPA2, what would be an in-expensive G or N adapter to add to an old notebook that would be WPA2 capable? (I assume they are all WPA2 capable today.

    Thank you.

Oops! I meant HWC 54G, and yes it does support wpa2 with the updated drivers. So I'll give it a try.
