| | Windows 7 shares stop working Every so often, for no reason, my shares will stop working on my machine. I have 2-3-4 shares going on at once, and the only way to alleviate the problem, for a few days, is to reboot. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Or start troubleshooting. browsing PC name OR IP does not work after a given amount of time - 24-72 hours. |

| | Are all these machines Windows 7? If so are you using Homegroups? There is a registry setting that has en effect on this. On my windows 7 machine I used regedit to increase the size of a parameter: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\LanmanServer\Parameters the parameter was Size - and value was set at 1 . I changed the value to 3 . |

| | And the other question I asked about if you are using Homegroups or not? You should be using a Workgroup for a mixed Op system network as Homegroups is only made to work with Windows 7 machines. |
