    Video streaming lag to xbox

I recently purchased the new lynksys E3000 router and have been experiencing lag when streaming video from my PC to the xbox using a wired connection. When i look at the network tuner performance monitor on the xbox media center the graph is constantly bounceing from green to red.

I've gone through the whole process of port forwarding/static ip's etc. and that hasnt helped. I can plug the old router in and I get a fully solid green bar, plug in my new router, and the bar bounces all over again.

I was starting to think i got a bad router and was going to take it back, so I gave the router to a friend who has the same setup as me to check it out. He was able to plug it in didn't change any settings anywere and got a solid green bar no bouncing just a fully solid green bar. So to me that eliminates the router as being the problem at this point.

I've tried disabling firewalls..uninstalling various antivirus software i.e avg free/ malware bytes etc and nothing.

I have no clue what to do at this point the only thing i can think of left is fully format my comp and start from scratch. I obviously would rather not do this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hey,
It definatly sounds like a router issue. Is it up to date? Do you have the drivers for it installed on your computer? What about the ethernet cord your using? Any cuts, fraying, or damage? Also, try hooking it up and using it as you normally would. Are the lights bouncing on and off at an extremely fast rate on the router? And hook up the old router, and play a movie/video. Then play the same video on the new router. This will give you a better feel for if it is your computer, or the router.

    Let us know,

As i mentioned a buddy tried out the new router last night and he had solid green bars right away...does that not eliminate it as being the router?
As for the cables...I can unplug the new router and plug in the old one...same cables...and im back to solid green...plug in the new router..and it bounces all over.
The lights on the router do bounce pretty fast

maybe you need to install your routers drivers to your computer. I am looking up issues on this forums as well as google and not to many forums help to much so im spitballing here.
Look here: Trouble finding PC on XBOX 360 for streaming
I was reading it, and the responses seemed like they would help you if you tried to connect this way.

Let me know if any of those solutions help,
    Ben

I made a few changes to the services as they did but it hasnt helped out. I have no issues connecting to anything it's just I always get a marginal network performance rating.
