Join a Remote network Basically I am trying to establish how i can join my network at home from here in hawaii.
at home i have 5 computers behind a router/firewall combo. Here there is no firewall or router.
Comps at home have Windows 7 Ultimate(x64), my computer Windoes 7 Home Premium (x64). (so joining/setting up a domain wont work)
So the idea is that i can pull whatever network resources i need from here in hawaii without having to remote desktop in and if my little brothers host up a LAN game i can jump in and play them a while.
If this has already been answered my fault. | My System Specs |

That works really well! Sadly it does require participation on both ends to be useful. Only thing that didn't work was the lan game. I guess its not catching the Broadcasts for the game being hosted.Wonder if i can configure it to grab those... I'll have to do some more research.. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Motherboard Nforce 790i Ultra SLI Memory 2x2gb Crucial Graphics Card GTX 280 O/C Edition Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster |

If the remote machine is ON & set with a permanent password, I can access all the time.
But I not familar with the Broadcast gaming things.
Best of luck. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Built them myself, Science Experiments ! Basically the game broadcasts packets over the lan announcing that the game is available. Since this program doesnt forward those packets (this is my assumption anyway) over the VPN my game isnt aware of the hosted lan game therefore i cannot join. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Motherboard Nforce 790i Ultra SLI Memory 2x2gb Crucial Graphics Card GTX 280 O/C Edition Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster Join a Remote network problems?
