Hello Nishanth
Welcome to SevenForums. Not sure of your enable or disable question. Thermal throttling is a protection thing. Spose to make your hardware last longer.

Don't blame you for wanting to disable that. Have you tried uninstalling the driver then letting windows update your driver by restarting. Maybe your driver is corrupted somehow.

I recently bought a new Toshiba Tecra A11 and installed Windows 7 Professional. I am having the same issue with the network adapter shutting down every 5-7 minutes. Is there any way to adjust the setting on the network card? I bought this system, for use at work and it has become so disruptive that the system is nearly useless. If no adjustment can be made, should I reload Windows XP to avoid this issue altogether?

I called Toshiba not knowing what the issue could be. I was convinced it was a hardware failure until a co worker told me of this issue last weekend. Toshiba techs led me through the process of reinstalling all of the drivers but that fix did not work. This is very frustrating so I'm looking for help.
