    downloads


    right now im only downloading at around 300kb to a max of 1.2mb on utorrent is there anyway to turn this up? it seems a little slow seeing as how i just upgraded computers and was running downloads at the same rate on my 4 year old comp that takes 20 mins to start up i also have high speed internet thanks

    If it were my computer using utorrents
    I would run an antivirus scan
    Then download and run malwarebytes. Update MB before use and do the full scan.

    what does antivirus scans and malware software have to do with the speed utorrent downloads?

    Whenever I hear utorrents the first thing that I think of is virus etc. If you do not agree there is no need to scan.

    im just a lil confused im new to this and didnt understand its a brand new computer and i scan for viruses weekly and run ccleaner daily

    You can't forget that the dl/speed has not so much to do with your machine but with the following factors:
    How well is the torrent in question seeded.
    And how much Upload bandwith are the seeders allowing.
    I haven't done torrents for at least 2, 3 years now but down then it mattered how much upload I gave.
