Windows 7: ISDN Help please

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, so don't really know where this would go.

I'm having problems with my ISDN connection. In WIndows Xp my ISDN modem worked just fine, I could browse the net without any issues. I recently moved to Win 7 Pro. First had problems finding drivers for my modem, after I found them, now I have problems with my internet, I can connect to my ISP but I can't open any websites, if I ping the sites I get a reply, but they don't open in IE. I disabled the firewall. When I connect to my ISP, Win 7 sets it up as a public network. I tried to change it to a Work network, but that makes no difference. I removed the connection and set it up again, Public network.

I'm at my wits end, please help

If you can connect and ping it isnt a connectivity issue more likely and IE issue. what version of IE aree you running?

As a test can you try firefox?

I connected a friend's usb 3G device, installed the drivers and connected to the net. It opens websites in IE 8 without any problems. I can browse and download just fine. Don't think it is IE 8.
